While cycling to Hinckley Police Station in a severe gale late at night on 23 April, having been recalled to duty to deal with a violent female prisoner, she collided with a fallen tree and sustained fatal injuries.

Died from a fractured skull sustained when the car in which she was a passenger collided with a stationary lorry at Prestwich while returning to Rochdale from the police training college at Bruche.

While with a supervised party of cadets canoeing on the River Chelmer, her canoe capsized and despite attempts to save her she was drowned.

While on foot patrol with a colleague in Bangor, Co. Down, they were passing licensed premises when a canister bomb, placed by terrorists on the window sill, exploded killing her almost immediately.

Died from serious injuries received on 1 November while she was assisting other officers at the scene of a road traffic accident in Londonderry when they were struck by a speeding car.

While on foot patrol duty with a colleague in Londonderry late at night on 23 May they were both shot at point blank range in a terrorist attack and she received gunshot wounds from which she later died.

While on mobile patrol in Sunderland the police car she was driving skidded and crashed through a fence, a section of which broke through the car windscreen and pierced her skull killing her instantly.

Killed with two other officers and a Ministry of Transport Examiner, when their traffic patrol car collided with one lorry and was thrown into the path of another on the opposite carriageway of the A74 near Johnstonebridge.

While with a supervised party of Cadets during an adventure training exercise at Foreland Point, North Devon, she was swept off the rocks and despite attempts at rescue was washed out to sea and drowned.

While a member of a mobile patrol in the early hours, together with four colleagues she was fatally injured in a road traffic accident when their police landrover collided with a lorry in Belfast.

While with other officers operating a vehicle checkpoint in the early hours near Magherafelt, Co. Londonderry she was struck and fatally injured by one of two vehicles which failed to stop at the checkpoint.

Killed when the police patrol car, in which she was the observer and which was stationary waiting to assist colleagues, was deliberately rammed by the driver of a vehicle being pursued by police at Royston late at night.

While working together with several other officers, attempting to rescue a drowning man from a very rough sea at Blackpool, she and two colleagues were swept away by the waves and all three and the man were drowned.

While investigating a reported terrorist car bomb and evacuating the area outside Harrods store in Knightsbridge, the device exploded and she was killed together with a Sergeant and an Inspector who died later.

Fatally injured while she was the observer in a patrol car when her driver swerved to avoid an obstruction in the road and the vehicle overturned during an early morning vehicle pursuit at Oxford.

Whilst policing a political demonstration outside a foreign embassy in St. James's Square, she was shot in the back and fatally wounded when automatic weapons were fired at the crowd from inside the embassy building.

As a member of a Territorial Support Group she forced entry to a dwelling flat at Stratford, in order to arrest a violent and deranged wanted man, whereupon she was stabbed in the chest and fatally wounded.

While on plain clothes duty keeping observation on a stolen car in Oldham, a suspect returned to the vehicle and, in attempting to stop him driving away she went to the rear of the car, which reversed and knocked her down then ran over her causing multiple injuries from which she later died.

Having finished an extended tour of night duty, after dealing with a prisoner at Taunton, and was travelling home, when her motorcycle was in collision with a vehicle at Ashill and she sustained fatal head injuries.

Collapsed on 8th August while attending a routine incident on duty and was hospitalised until her subsequent death from a cerebral haemorrhage.

On the evening of Friday 29th November 2013 the Police Scotland helicopter, call sign SP99, crashed into the roof of the Clutha Vault pub in Glasgow city centre close to the Clyde. The crew were fatally injured as were members of the public within the premises.
