On the evening of Friday 29th November 2013 the Police Scotland helicopter, call sign SP99, crashed into the roof of the Clutha Vault pub in Glasgow city centre close to the Clyde. The crew were fatally injured as were members of the public within the premises.

Tony was a member of the Operational Support Divison.

He is survived by his wife and their three sons.

Kirsty Nelis

She is survived by her husband who is also a serving Police officer.

On the evening of Friday 29th November 2013 the Police Scotland helicopter, call sign SP99, crashed into the roof of the Clutha Vault pub in Glasgow city centre close to the Clyde. The crew were fatally injured as were members of the public within the premises.

David was an experienced pilot having been in the Royal Air Force, he was contracted to Police Scotland through Bond Air Services.

Andrew Duncan

Died 21st September 2013, aged 47

On Friday 20th September 2013 he was engaged in a speed enforcement operation in the Sutton area of South London when he motioned for the driver of a speeding car to stop, the vehicle struck him and drove off. Sustaining serious injuries he was taken to hospital but was unable to recover from the injuries caused.

Andrew joined the Metropolitan Police in 1990, originally serving in Battersea, moving to Hammersmith and Fulham before joining the Territorial Support Group. In 2004 he joined the South-West Traffic Unit, he was stationed in Merton.

He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

Shazahan Wadud

Died 8th September 2013, aged 29

Travelling to begin a night shift in Tower Hamlets his motorbike was struck by a car in Spratt Hall Road, Wanstead. The injuries he suffered due to the collision were fatal.

Shazahad had served in the Metropolitan Police for 6 years as a Constable, prior to becoming a police officer he had been a member of police staff. He was a response officer stationed in the Tower Hamlets Borough.

He is survived by his wife, their two children and large extended family.

Ian Harman

Died 3rd May 2013, aged 47

Whilst on duty at his desk at the Merton Park and Cannon Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team base, in Aberconway Road, Morden he suffered a fatal heart attack.

Ian had served in the Metropolitan Police for the last 24 years and had been based in Merton for the last five.

He is survived by his wife and their two sons.

Steve Rawson

Died 3rd April 2013, aged 40

Whilst riding an unmarked police motorcycle in Swaythling he was involved in a collision with another car around 2pm. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but efforts to revive him failed.

Steve had joined Hampshire Constabulary as a police officer in 2003, initially posted to a neighbourhood team before moving to the Major Investigation Team in 2007. Steve had previously been a member of police staff.

He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

Philippa Reynolds

Died 9th February 2013, aged 27

During a night shift she was on patrol in an unmarked, armoured, police vehicle, with two coleagues when a stolen car went through a red light on the Limavady Road, hitting the police vehicle. Philippa was a rear seat passenger and was killed instantly, her two colleagues were also injured.

Philippa had joined the Police Service of Northern Ireland after leaving teaching, she had two years service.

She is survived by her mother, father and two sisters.

Bruce Stevenson

Died 7th January 2013, aged 47

Whilst on duty at Cotton Lane police station he collapsed and died.

Bruce was stationed at Cotton Lane and had served with Derbyshire Constabulary for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife.

Andrew Bramma

Died 5th January 2013, aged 32

Whilst responding to an emergency call, the van he was driving left the road and struck a tree in West Tanfield, near Ripon causing fatal injuries.

Andrew was a neighbourhood officer in th Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team. He joined Greater Manchester Police in 2008 working as a response officer in Rochdale, in August 2012 he transferred to North Yorkshire Police.

He is survived by his wife and their two young children.
