Constable British Transport Police Died 6 December 2005, aged
43

Collapsed
and died of heart failure during a physical fitness test while attending
a probationer training course at the B.T.P. training centre at Tadworth,
Surrey.
Vassili
had 12 months police service and worked on the London Underground, stationed
at Baker Street. He was a French national born in Switzerland and had previously
served in the French Army and with the private security industry in Britain. He
is survived by his wife and thirteen year old daughter.

Constable West Yorkshire Police Died 18 November 2005, aged
38

While
responding with a colleague to a personal attack alarm at a travel agency in
Bradford, the officers were confronted by three armed robbers leaving
the premises, Sharon was shot in the chest
and killed and her colleague injured.
Sharon
had been appointed as a Constable in the West Yorkshire Police on 7 February
2005, following nearly two years service as a Community Support Officer; she
joined a patrol team at Bradford South Division in May where she was known
as an enthusiastic and popular officer. Sharon
is survived by her husband, two sons aged 12 and 7 years, her daughter
who was four years old that day, a stepdaughter aged 14 and stepson aged 11
years.

Constable Merseyside Police Died 9 November 2005, aged
38

Killed
in a road traffic accident while undergoing an advanced police motorcycle training
course, when his machine went out of control and was in collision with a lorry on the M58 Motorway
near Skelmersdale in Lancashire.
David
was appointed to the Merseyside Police in 1987 and since 1994 had been
attached to the Traffic Group at Smithdown Lane, Liverpool. He trained as a
Family Liaison Officer in 2002 and regularly supported bereaved families of
road accident victims. He is survived by his wife, daughter aged 5 and
son aged 2 years.

in a road accident, while going off duty late at night, when his unmarked
police vehicle left the road and crashed during bad weather near Haverfordwest.
Barrie
had joined the force in 1991 following service with the Royal Navy; he was attached
to the Central Detective Unit at Force HQ at Carmarthen where he had worked
for the last 3 years as a covert surveillance operative. He is survived
by his wife, three daughters aged 15,11 and 5 and a son aged 6 years.

he lost control of his car which collided with a wall at Kircubbin, Co.
Down.

at Portaferry He is survived by his mother and his brother and sister.

and was in collision with a vehicle at Bangor.
Andy had 18 months police service and was stationed
at Bangor. He is survived by his wife and two sons aged 4 and 3 years.

travelling home from a late shift duty when his car left the road and struck
a tree at Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire.
Barrie was based at Glasgow
City Centre Police Office. He is survived by his wife and parents.

as a result of injuries received on 7 January 2004, while reporting for
duty at police headquarters, when his unmarked police motorcycle was involved
in a collision with a van in Guildford, from which he never regained consciousness.
Stan had joined the force in
June 1991 and was attached to the Force Surveillance Team at Police Headquarters. He
is survived by his wife and two sons aged 14 and 10 years.

in a road accident while returning home from duty at Skipton when his motorcycle
was in collision with a car on the A59 near Kettlestring.
Glenn had 16 years service with the force and
was a traffic officer stationed with the Road Policing Group at Skipton with
previous service in Harrogate. He is survived by his wife, a son aged 17
and daughter aged 15 years.

injured whilst driving in a convoy of armoured police Land Rovers en route
to a public order operation when her vehicle went out of control and crashed
on the road between Moneymore and Desertmartin, Co. Londonderry.
Siobhan had two years police service and was
stationed as a Community Officer at Waterside Police Station in Londonderry. She
is survived by her adult son and her fiance, a serving officer, her parents,
three sisters and two brothers.

in a road traffic accident, while
on duty in plain clothes and involved in an ongoing policing operation,
when his unmarked motorcycle was in collision with a car on the road between
Hemel Hempstead and Redbourn.
Kevin joined the Force in 1977, he was seconded
to the Regional Crime Squad between 1995 and 2000 and since then
attached to the Crime Management Department at Police HQ. He is
survived by his son aged 6 years, his mother and two sisters and his fiancée, a serving officer, with whom he lived.

when his motorcycle was in collision with a bus while he was travelling home from
night duty at Newcastle, Co. Down.

had joined the PSNI in September 2002 following six years full time service in the RUC Reserve
and was stationed at Newcastle. He is survived by his parents, wife
and 4 year old son.

she was driving collided with a stationary lorry while she was attending an
urgent call at Ipswich.
Cheryl joined Suffolk
Constabulary in March 2000 after service as a Special Constable; she was
stationed at Ipswich where she drove the urban response vehicle, she was
a Tutor Constable and had perfomed duties as Acting Sergeant; she was due
to receive a Chief Constable's Commendation after helping rescue a man from
a river in August 2004. She is survived by her mother, two sisters and
her partner.

Constable in Crewe; he was stationed at Warrington on the Community Action
Team and had been commended for bravery in 2002. He is survived by his
fiancee and their daughter aged 2 years.

motorcycle was in collision with a vehicle near Marlow.

had been a police officer for four years and was stationed at High Wycombe
where he worked on the Tutor Unit.

is survived by his wife, a daughter aged 21, son aged 18 and a step-daughter
aged 25.

Paul joined South Wales Police
in June 1998 having served previously with the RAF Police. He is survived
by his wife and baby daughter, his parents and sister.

While on holiday in Australia,
he was with friends and their children at Spoon
Bay
near Sydney
when they were swept out to sea by a rip tide; he reached his friend's 8 year
old son and
held onto him until other rescuers arrived and took the boy to safety but after
saving the child he became exhausted and drowned.
Jonny
joined the force in March 1998 and was attached to the plain-clothes pro-active
CID team at Warrington. He had recently attended an interview for a police post
in Australia. He is survived by his wife,
father, two sisters
and two brothers.
