It is 3 years ago today that my elder son, Richard Patrick Gunn, was killed
while on duty with Surrey Police. He was 29 years old and due to marry his
fiancée Laura exactly 7 weeks later, on 2nd May 2004. It is a loss I shall never
get over - and one I am still learning to live with. Now there will always be a
huge void in my life - previously filled by the wonderful, loving, caring,
amusing person that was Richard. God bless you son, may you rest in peace. All
my love, Dad.

such happy memories but now I miss you so much - but if I can reach the heights

of him. He loved his job and from the tributes we have seen and heard we know he
