Died during a violent struggle whilst attempting to arrest a man late at night at the Cross Foxes public house at Pentre Broughton.

Fatally injured while directing traffic at Mold High Street, during the evening of a Mothers' Union festival, when he was accidentally struck from behind by a motor car and dragged some distance sustaining a fractured skull.

Died 5 October 1916, aged 41
While arresting two drunken soldiers for fighting at Wrexham on 21 June 1915, he was violently assaulted and kicked by one of the men, receiving injuries from the effects of which he subsequently died.

Died 22 November 1924, aged 49
He attended a farm at Gwalchmai to assist the landlord who had been threatened by the farmer with a shotgun; he entered the house and despite threats was approaching the suspect when he was shot in the chest at close range and died from his wounds the following day.
A memorial stone, inscribed in Welsh, was erected in Tabernacl cemetery at Tyngongl and later a plaque was placed at Police HQ at Colwyn Bay.

Died from pneumonia contracted following on from him going into the water on 31 December 1927 to retrieve the body of a woman who had committed suicide in the sea at Caernarfon.

Died 28 August 1941, aged 30
Drowned, along with ten other would-be rescuers, while making several attempts to rescue the three crew of an RAF bomber aircraft, which had crashed during a gale into the sea off Rhosneigr; he was in the second of four boats to put out, all of which capsized in the stormy seas.
Posthumously awarded the King's Commendation for Brave Conduct and the RNLI Bronze Medal

Found drowned in the sea at Colwyn Bay after he failed to make a point in the early hours while on night duty, he had slight head injuries but there was no evidence as to how he came to be in the water.

Fatally injured in a road accident while travelling home from night duty when he lost control of his motorcycle and was in collision with a vehicle at Bangor.

Killed in a road accident while on duty travelling from Wrexham to Colwyn Bay when his unmarked police motorcycle crashed on the A5 at Cerrigydrudion.
