Died 14 December 1938

Killed together when they were both struck by a train while on foot patrol at night on the railway line near Port Dundas, Glasgow.


 

James Daniel McClafferty

British Transport Commission Police

 

Died 1 October 1954, aged 57

Collapsed and died of heart failure after chasing and trapping a suspect whom he had seen stealing from a BTC van in Edinburgh.


Walter Marshall McMillan

Police Constable
British Transport Commission Police

Died 25 January 1960, aged 30

Fatally injured when he vaulted a wall and fell 20 ft into the street below and fractured his skull while chasing a suspect at the Mineral Depot in Morrison Street, Edinburgh.


Robert Pryce Oliver

Inspector
British Transport Police

Died 17 February 1987, aged 58

Collapsed and died of heart failure while on mobile patrol in Stranraer.
