Fatally injured when struck by a US Navy jeep, while on bicycle patrol.

Died 9 July 1947, aged 53

Killed in a car accident in Germany with the Allied Control Commission.

Accidentally shot dead cleaning a police pistol used on bank escorts.

Shot dead assisting colleagues who were fired on by armed suspects.

Posthumously awarded the King's Police Medal for Gallantry.

Collapsed and died of heart failure resulting from injuries on duty.

Killed when his motorcycle crashed while pursuing a speeding car.

Collapsed and died in the police car taking him to duty at Waltham Green.

Fatally injured when his motorcycle skidded and crashed on patrol.

Stabbed in the back and killed when intervening in a street affray.

Shot dead while detaining a wanted man he had chased and arrested.

Drowned attempting to rescue a girl from the sea while on holiday.

Collapsed and died after an earlier assault and riot in Red Lion Square.

Suffered heart failure before his CID car was involved in a collision.

Fatally shot off duty trying to arrest an armed suspect chased by police.
