Died 18 August 1855
Drowned when he fell twenty-five feet from a narrow footpath into the water of the Town Pill, while on foot patrol near Cinderhill Wharf.
Thomas Turner

Died 8 November 1875, aged 45
Died as a result of injuries sustained on the evening of 5 November during bonfire night disturbances, when he was attacked by a mob with stones, suffering a compound fracture of his leg, following which gangrene set in.
A memorial stone was erected over his grave at St Wollos' Cemetery, Newport.

Died 14 July 1911, aged 33
While moving on a drunk late at night at Aberbeeg, he was attacked and struck with a stone, a violent arrest ensued during which the officer secured one handcuff before he was knocked to the ground and died soon after.
William Henry Shapland

Died 27 February 1921, aged 36
While on point duty on Rumney Hill near Cardiff he was knocked down by a motor car and received head injuries which later proved fatal.

Died from a fractured skull sustained in the early hours, while on duty at Maindee Police Station, when he accidentally fell over debris that had been left in the cell corridor during building alterations.
Peter Charles John Griffin

Died 15 March 1960, aged 35
Died in hospital as the result of injuries received when he was knocked down while directing lorries to a checkpoint for a routine check at Liswerry.

Killed in a motorcycle accident while travelling to report for duty.
Terence John Davies

Died 31 August 1990, aged 34
Died as a result of injuries received while he was cycling home after a tour of duty at Maindee, when he was hit by a stolen car, which failed to stop.
