MEMORIAL GARDEN


On Sunday 8th May 2005
the John Armstrong Welch Memorial Garden was dedicated in a ceremony at the Sedgley Park Centre  in remembrance of all Greater Manchester Police Officers who have fallen in the service of the community.

The bereaved families were welcomed by the Chief Constable Michael Todd and senior officers from the force while the police band played during a moving multi-faith service to open this magnificent garden and memorial bearing the names of the fallen officers.
